On Episode 248, Big Dave is joined by World League Wrestling broadcaster, Dylan Highley. This remarkable young man was kind enough to join us to talk about WLW’s biggest event of the year, Night of Champions, coming up on March 9, 2019. Dylan also shared with Dave his inspiring story and the two even discuss and analyze some of the greatest broadcasters of all-time. It is a conversation you won’t want to miss and Dylan also has some updated info for anyone planning on attending the event on the 9th so be sure to check it out.
From there, Big Dave goes back a few weeks and recaps the Worlds Collide Tournament, as well as Halftime Heat, two events that went a long way towards changing the landscape in NXT, 205 Live, and NXT UK. Big Dave does what the WWE Network did not and recaps the tournament in the order it went down, from the Battle Royal all the way to Velveteen Dream’s final 1-2-3 over Tyler Bate. He also discusses the Halftime Heat match and events that transpired on 205 Live, NXT, and NXT UK the week after all of these mega-events aired.
To close off Episode 248, Big Dave concludes his review of Wrestle Kingdom 13 as he discusses Part 2 and 3 that aired on AXS TV. Included are reviews of one of the Young Bucks final matches in NJPW, Kazuchka Okada v “Switchblade” Jay White, and Kushida’s final Wrestle Kingdom appearance, at least for the foreseeable future.
