Roadblock: End Of The Line Review Plus Raw, Smackdown Live, 205 Live, And NXT Reviews For The Week Of December 19, 2016- Episode 155

Episode 155 begins with a review of Roadblock: End Of The Line, the final PPV of 2016 and the final Raw exclusive PPV of the year. Unfortunately, for WWE, this was the second Roadblock PPV of the year and this one was not received much more favorably than the first one was. Did Cesaro and Sheamus end The New Day’s record setting Tag Team Championship reign? Did Sami Zayn last 10 minutes against Braun Strowman? Did Seth Rollins or Chris Jericho prevail in their match? Who emerged as the Cruiserweight Champion and, more importantly, what happened after the Cruiserweight Championship match that reshaped the entire division? Who emerged victorious in the feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte and left Pittsburgh with the Women’s Championship? Lastly, did Roman Reigns leave Roadblock as a dual champion…or did Kevin Owens find a way top retain the Universal Championship yet again? We cover all the bases for you on Episode 155.

From there, we review the week that was across the WWE sphere of influence. Raw got going with the announcement of the Universal Championship match that will take place at the Royal Rumble, with a special stipulation designed to neutralize the impact of Chris Jericho on the match. Rusev and Big Cass battled again with an equally inconclusive result. New challengers emerged for Sasha Banks and Charlotte and Charlotte went one on one with Bayley, with The Hugster looking to go 3-0 against Charlotte. In the Main Event, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns teamed up to take on Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. How did an enraged Braun Strtowman impact that match and the landscape of Monday Night Raw for the foreseeable future.

We then move on to Smackdown Live, one of the best installments of the show since it went to the new Live Format. We finally got the AJ Styles vs James Ellsworth WWE World Championship match. Could the Chinless Wonder actually go 4-0 against AJ Styles and capture the WWE World Championship? Dolph Ziggler took on Baron Corbin with the winner getting the shot at the WWE World Title in Chicago on December 27th. Alexa Bliss took on a masked wrestler known as La Luchadora. Who actually was La Luchadora and how did she fare against the Smackdown Women’s Champion? The Miz defended the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews while Dean Ambrose battled Luke Harper. Perhaps even better than the in-ring action though was the segment involving The Miz and Rene Young and the segment involving Natalya and Nikki Bella. Whether these were a bit of a worked shoot or not, it made for compelling TV and we cover it in detail here on Episode 155.

We then move on to 205 Live where Daivari took on Lince Dorado and Cedric Alexander battled Drew Gulak. In The Main Event, the returning, and self-proclaimed, King of the Cruiserweights, Neville, taemed with Brian Kendrick to tangle with TJ Perkins and Rich Swan. How did it all turn out? We let you know on Episode 155.

We then close down the week in review by looking at NXT. Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong, Tye Dillinger and Andrade “Cien” Almas took on each other in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to determine the new #1 contender and who would get the shot at Shinsuke Nakamaura and the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: San Antonio. Who came out on top? We let you now on Episode 155.
