WrestleMania 32 is nearly here and we continue to bring you the best possible pro wrestling content available as we get closer to the big event in Dallas. Episode 85 really zeros in on the rich history of WrestleMania.
We begin, however, by going Back To The Front and reviewing Raw vs Nitro from October 23, 1995. Raw saw the fallout from In Your House 4 and featured a big Battle Royal to determine the new #1 Contender for Razor Ramon’s Intercontinental Championship. Who would emerge victorious. Over on the WCW side of the fence, Nitro made its final stop before Halloween Havoc. Randy Savage battled Kurosawa while Sting teamed up with Lex Luger to tangle with Harlem Heat. Eddie Guerrero teamed up with Mr. JL to take on the team of Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. And what absurd insurance policy did Kevin Sullivan and The Giant come up with for the Giant’s WCW Championship match against Hulk Hogan? Tune in to Episode 85 to find out.
We then go Back To The Temple as we continue our review of Season 1 of Lucha Underground. Episode 5 was called “Boyle Heights Street Fight” for a good reason as the Main Event featured a no holds barred brawl between Big Rick and Prince Puma. Sexy Star looked for some revenge in a match against Chavo Guerrero Jr. Drago would try and keep his momentum going against Mil Muertes. And Son of Havoc took on Mascarita Sagrada. How did this all play out? We let you know on Episode 85.
We then get to the Main Event as we rank, discuss, and analyze the Top 20 WrestleMania matches of all-time (with a few Honorable Mentions thrown in for good measure). WrestleMania has been the Showcase Of The Immortals for 32 years now and has seen some of the greatest confrontations in pro wrestling history. Everyone seems to have one, or several, matches from past WrestleManias that stand out in their mind as the best ever. Did yours make the list? Check out Episode 85 to find out and please check out the blog post at www.attitudeofaggression.com that has a listing of all the matches, plus video highlights of all the matches we talk about. If you are on the Road to WrestleMania, like us, you will love Episode 85.
