Raw was highlighted by a 20 man Battle Royal to determine the new #1 contender for the US Championship. Who emerged as the new #1 contender? Charles Robinson tried to explain his actions in the WWE Womens’ Championship match from Payback.The Main Event saw AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson take on Roman Reigns and The Usos. Would the former members of the Bullet Club prevail or would The Roman Empire reign supreme?
On NXT, a blast from the past made his debut and challenged the new NXT Champion, Samoa Joe, to a match in the Main Event. Who was this wrestler and how did he fare against the Champ? Plus, Austin Aries, Nia Jax, The Revival, and No Way Jose were all in action on a very good installment of NXT.
On Smackdown, Sami Zayn took on The Miz as the chase for the IC Title grew more intriguing. The Vaudevillains continued to try and build momentum for their upcoming WWE Tag Team Title match against The New Day at Extreme Rules. The Main Event saw a rematch from Raw. Would the same team win, or would we see the other team draw even?
