We are back on our home turf in California as we bring you up to date on all the post-WrestleMania happenings that took place in WWE last week. We start off by reviewing the April 4 Monday Night Raw from Dallas, Texas. We were at Raw as it was the last event we attended before heading back tom California. We offer our thoughts on the fabled post-WrestleMania Raw crowd and let you know just how crazy they are (with us included in the equation). Vince McMahon did something stunning at the beginning of Raw that would set the stage for the rest of the night. What did Vince do? We have those answers for you. A new #1 contender for Roman Reigns’ brand new WWE World Heavyweight Championship emerged. Who will be the first to try and cause the collapse of the Roman Empire? Zack Ryder defended his newly won Intercontinental Championship against The Miz on Raw. How did this match re-introduce the WWE Universe to The Miz’s wife, Maryse? Did The Wyatt Family turn baby-face? And what surprise appearances, and NXT call ups, did the post-WrestleMania Raw provide? We have all those answers for you on Episode 89.
NXT for the week was rather light with almost all of it being dediucated to recaps and reactions from NXT Takeover: Dallas. However, the dark match from that card, Elias Samson vs Apollo Crews, was shown. Did the leader of the Apollo Nation silence The Drifter or did Samson sing a different tune for Crews? Smackdown continued much of what we saw on Raw including a good exchange between Roman Reigns and the new challenger to his throne. We also saw yet another NXT Tag Team make its transition to the Main Roster. What team was it and how did they do? Zack Ryder and The Miz met again for the Intercontinental Championship. All that plus a big Tag Team match to discuss at the end of Smackdown. Is WWE actively trying to avoid the annual post-WrestleMania lull we usually have?
