Its Royal Rumble ’16 go home week and here at the Attitude Of Aggression we have a ton of content to get you ready for one of the biggest PPVs in recent WWE history. We begin the week with our review of Monday Night Raw. The final Raw before the Royal Rumble did not really clarify anything and actually raised more questions than it answered. Still, there were many combustible elements all in one place on Raw. What would happen when Chris Jericho had Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar join him on his Highlight Reel? And what faction would insert themselves into the middle of this massive confrontation? On the tag team front, would the New Day’s mourning over the loss of their trombone cause them a set back as Big E tangled with Jay Uso? And how exactly did Becky Lynch convince Ric Flair to grant her a Divas’ Championship match against Charlotte at the Royal Rumble? We have all those answers for you on Episode 67.
We then shift gears and look at the week in NXT. Sami Zayn took on Adam Rose. Why are we concerned after Zayn’s performance this night? Jason Jordan and Chad Gable have become American Alpha. What do we think of the name change? Carmella and Bayley teamed up to take on the team of Emma and Alexa Bliss. How would Carmella fare now that she is the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship? What newcomer made a strong showing for himself against Baron Corbin? And how would Johnny Gargano fare in the main event against Samoa Joe?
It is then on to Smackdown and the lackluster showing from the last WWE show before the Rumble shines through in the guys’ “review” of it. Dave and Gatz are clearly more interested in having fun and being goofballs than they are in trying to make this weeks edition of Smackdown seem interesting. Still, they cover what happened on Miz TV when Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose got together just before their Last Man Standing Match for the Intercontinental Championship at the Rumble. Plus, would Roman Reigns survive against all four members of the League of Nations? We have those answers for you on Episode 67.
But the real highlight of Episode 67 is the one hour preview of Royal Rumble 2016 that the guys conducted with Jay Alletto of the Pro Wrestling Powerhouse Nation. Jay was kind enough to return to the show to preview, analyze, and discuss every match coming up at the Royal Rumble. The guys cover all sorts of topics including surprise entrants, whether AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan might be involved, whether Roman Reigns can possibly retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, where Brock Lesnar might fit in, and, of course, who they think will walk out of Orlando as the Champion. Jay even breaks a bit of news that came across the wires while the interview was going on. If you are looking for a detailed and comprehensive preview of the Royal Rumble, look no further than Episode 67.
